The margin was reported as seven votes between Shreya Kalra and Shivangi Joshi. The winner was decided by votes from the hosts, former contestants and special guests rather than by public vote.
Why you will find two different winners published
This is the part most pages skip, so it is worth being direct about it.
A news agency wire published on finale night named Shreya Kalra as the winner and Shivangi Joshi as runner-up, with the seven-vote margin. Two further outlets, including one that gave the full top five and the prize figure, reported the same result independently. At least one entertainment portal published the opposite, headlining Shivangi Joshi as the confirmed winner.
A week later, a separate report examined why search results were surfacing Shivangi Joshi’s name at all. Its finding was that several portals had published the claim citing unnamed sources, other sites repeated it, and search engines indexed the repetition. That report also noted it could not find an announcement published by Netflix itself.
So the position, stated plainly:
- Three independent outlets, one of them a news agency, report Shreya Kalra as the winner, and two of those give a specific margin and a full finishing order.
- At least one outlet reports Shivangi Joshi, and the leak-driven reporting that produced that claim has itself been documented as unverified.
- No announcement published by the platform could be located.

Shilpa Shinde came in after the launch as the season’s first wildcard, in early July. She had won Bigg Boss 11 in 2018, which makes her the second Lock Upp finalist with a Bigg Boss title behind her – the season 1 winner, Munawar Faruqui, went on to win Bigg Boss 17. Yogesh Rawat reached this final three months after finishing first runner-up on Splitsvilla 16.

Four years apart, the two seasons share a title and a premise and very little else. Season 2 is roughly half as long, moved to a different platform, changed host, and carries a prize reported at five times the original. Anyone arriving at this page expecting the Kangana Ranaut show should know it is not that.
